New York is set to receive $5.91 million, as one of the first of seven states which will obtain funds for the EHR incentive program provisioned in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). In the announcement the Director of the Operations at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) congratulated the state for qualifying for the incentives program and encouraged the adoption and implementation of EHRs nationwide.
